Rob Ryan (another one of my favorite contemporary artists) is best known for his extremely delicate and detailed created through paper cutting and screen printing. I adore the simplicity of his subjects paired with romantic narratives of his papercuts.
It's a decpetive contrast really, when you think about the delicate nature and level of sophistication in how a papercut is made (an example of which is seen in this tutorial I found on the web today by the amazing blog of skinny laminx).
You may recognise Rob's work through his many creative collaborations with Vogue, Elle, Paul
Smith and Liberty, or through all of the online buzz regarding his enchanting store in London, "Ryan Town", book, blog, and Etsy shop... covet, covet, covet!)
It feels like there's been such a wonderful explosion of his work on the internet lately, I even just spotted a lomography fisheye camera at Urban Outfitters . ...with inspiring taglines that say "savour this day", "Such Magic Is This To Reassure and Cheer You On This, Your Great Journey".
& P.S. A lovely sidenote: Rob's assistant, Hazel Nicholis also has a line of etsy treasures, and is a featured printmaking artist at the keep calm gallery.

I'm inclined to agree with you.
