Winter Wonderland

There is snow on the way here in Ashland and the air & climate has turned into a wintery bundled up wonderland. These photos of a new Free People store capture what I'm feeling. We've just finished designing holiday cards & goodies for next year and there is a snowflake, doilie, glittery twinkle twinkle kind of feel around the office. (Minus the silver sequin party dresses...but we can dream...)

Yes, I must redo my closet with white lights & branches!

I  keep finding myself coming back to Urban Outfitters, Society 6 website. It's so mezmerizing scoping out all of the amazing emerging artists. And I love the fact that anyone is welcome to join, upload their artwork, and have it made into products to be sold there. Just Genius!

I think if I could choose an alter ego this would be mine.  And I'd like to pretend I could lounge around in an outfit like this (not to mention fit in it) in between dropping off big boy at school and working on the computer. Ahhh well.At least the jewelry fits!  The lovely designers over at Alkemie have done such a dreamy job of bringing their jewelry collection to life in these beautiful pics.  I'm now a new fan!

Painting Workshop: Philadelphia

As you know we are all fans of Flora S. Impromtu photo shoot in the PAPAYA! studio

Mindy and I set out this morning to do a photo shoot on the fly, which is always fun because with photos comes "styling"... The design room and my pink office got to play the backdrop for our new range of giclees, and keychains.

As things were moving around the office, I enjoyed the odd placement of my lanterns hanging off of my paper mobile, and my new wall of glitter! It's so cute, I just don't have the heart to take them down. My pink wall is just too happy!

 

Painting, Inspiration and Leslie Gifford

Since our PAPAYA! group painting retreat, there has been much talk of painting, journaling, vision boards and generally just trying to be looser with our creativity. I took painting lessons from this artist, Leslie Gifford, and she was so key in illustrating that loose happy feeling we strive for when creating. She paints what she loves, the San Francisco Bay, art supplies, her studio...the vase of flowers or marbles in front of her...these pieces always make me smile.

Having been in her studio, that vase of flowers and yellow stool is the real deal. So inspirational that she brings it to life like this.
