Browsing through the newest issue of Anthology magazine, I fell in love with an article about Magda Lipka Falck's nonconformist "A Travel Guide" card set. (A student project you can read more about her concept here).
I'm really in love with her concept. As it's so true. No matter where you are in the world, you are capable of looking at things with a fresh perspective... and this card set gives you the prompts to do it!
The image pictured above was taken in Santa Fe. A "Anywhere" card directed the Anthology journalist to "Pick a flower and give it in exchange for a piece of advice." Local Kathryn Schiff (pictured above) gave her these words: "If you see something beautiful in someone, notice if they see it in themselves- and if they see how amazing you are."
Some other random prompts out of the 100 deck of cards: "Find a place that you like, then call someone you miss and describe it", "Buy coffee for a stranger", "keep walking until you see something particularly yellow. Notice this something", and "Look for the water, spend some time close by it. Make a memory of it."
The cards are available at: The Occassional Traveller, and also alternatively as an iphone app, Seize The Day!
