My favorite "banner" day was March 30, 2006, the day we brought home our beautiful baby girl from Guatemala. At the airport, friends and relative greeted us with all sorts of welcome home banners, and we still have them. It was a joyful day!

It's a tie between the day my husband and I invited everyone for a dinner party at our home and then surprised them with our wedding AND the day our sweet baby girl made her entrance into the world (six weeks early!). Life is full of surprises--and that's what makes it so rich.

I try to see every day as a banner day. To find the smallest things in life to celebrate and rejoice in.

We allow the smallest things that happen to ruin our day because we expect the flowers to be beautiful, the sky to be blue, to be able to breathe, to have electricity, etc.

By relishing in even the smallest of accomplishments or beautiful things, life becomes much more grand. To be wowed by the things we expect, to enjoy the smallest pleasures, to savor life.

I'd love to have a Papaya banner to remind me that every day is a banner day! The holiday banner is beautiful!

The day my knight in shining armour rescued me from a horrible place in my life - we've been married for 17 years now :)

The day I quit my job to work freelance full time. Scary, but fabulous.

The days that my two children were born were the biggest banner days of my life~! I celebrate them every single day.

The day my husband and I got married was the best day of my life so far.

The day I met my best friend.

The day I received the email saying I was accepted as an emerging artist in the Gasparilla Art Festival. It was my first art show. We had attended this show for several years and each time I dreamed of how wonderful it would be to set up there as an exhibitor.

Completing graduate school

Yesterday was a MAJOR banner day for me. The company I work for...20 of us went to a local soup kitchen and made 600 sandwiches and served soup, sandwiches, bread, dessert and milk. We had so much fun spending time with each other out of the office while providing service to others. After looking into the eyes of these special souls, it got to me and I teared up. at 1st I was sad then I realized we are providing a meal to people who other wise would not be eating and then I had a warm feeling come over me. It sure puts life in perspective.

the day a little girl with autism who i was caring for touched my face gently and said, "friend".

Celebrating the little things in life such as our health, our little baby, the sunshine, having plenty to eat and warm place to sleep, planing on joining our families for Christmas this year...

A celebration of starting over.

Graduating from college!! Still waiting on my ring!

Informing our parents that we were prgnant - we had been together for so long no one thought we even had an idea to have babies ... now we got three boys!

the day my daughter, Maggie, and I took a road trip through the Utah desert, pink tiaras on our heads!!!

When we got the call that I was pregnant after a few years of infertility. I think it took a few months of sonos to really sink in and now at 7 months and nursery decorating it's becoming a reality that we'll soon have little girl in the house.
