Hi everyone! If you're local to Ashland or visiting southern Oregon in the next couple of weeks, we'd love to see you at our first annual PAPAYA Living sale. Lots of wonderful goodies on sale--bedding, clothing, stationery and more! See you there.
Here's sneak peek at an upcoming design just fresh off the glow box. (available summer) Cracks me up. Once in a while a design just makes me so happy and this little guy makes my whole day! Always hoping the rest of the world enjoys a little humor too. Happy Friday!
It's been busy busy in all the PAPAYA! studios. But especially in our new screen print studios! Behind the scenes we've been working on our new clothing line, LEELAH. Our beautiful, modern tops are made in Los Angeles and hand screened in our very own screen print workshop at PAPAYA. It's an exciting undertaking. For years so many have asked for apparel and now we can deliver. Our shirts will be available online within the next few weeks and even sooner in our brick and morter, PAPAYA! LIVING. A lot more to come on this topic.
We have randomly selected the Valentine's Day "Love Who You Are" giveaway and the winner is MICHELLE REMY. Congratulations! And a heartfelt thank you to everyone who left such inspiring messages. Happy Valentine's Day! xo
Oh, I just love it when I re-discover an art crush! I have seen various pieces of Anne Siem's work through the blogging and art world for years but really looked at it as a collection recently and I'm utterly smitten with it right now.
She says this about her work:
“All that I see, hear, touch, experience and dream moves into me and finds its way into my artwork. I love faces, bodies, gardens, wide open stretches of land with small forests and fields, old things that have had a life of their own, stories and all the realms in between. What I paint comes from an intuitive, visceral place. Elements found in my work through the years are there because they feel right; they have no specific symbolism. What you see is an open ended narrative, one that I invite you to enter into and complete or continue.”
German born, now a Seattle resident, read more about Anne and her process here.
I'm fairly certain I'm headed over to Blurb to buy this. Yummy!!!!!
It's time to celebrate the month of love! No matter what love looks like to you (partnership, friendship, kinship, compassion, passion, or appreciation) this is the month to focus our attention on LOVE. (Also, everyone gets to cut, freeze, visit Home Depot, wrap, and print like crazy and no one thinks anything about it).
Above all, this is a great time to turn our attention to self-love. The more we honor our own passions and desires, the more fulfilling all our relationships will be. That love will spill over into everything we do.
